How to Beat the Heat this Summer

Friday, June 26, 2015

After a brutally cold winter, it looks like we are in for a scorching hot summer. Homeowners in the Midwest rely on their air conditioners to stay cool. Below are some additional ways that will help you cool off.
  • Wear  light colored clothing that is made out of cotton and fits loosely.

  • Exercise when it is cooler outside. Usually, the morning and late evenings are cooler than the middle of the day.

  • A ceiling fan can be used as an addition to your air conditioning system. It can help circulate cold air.

  • Take cold showers. They can be very refreshing in the summertime.

  • Make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated.

  • Avoid drinks that will promote dehydration, such as caffeine.

At A.B. May, we know that air conditioners help you and your family stay comfortable in the sweltering summer. If you notice an issue with your air conditioner's performance, don't delay.
