Ways to Save Money on Water Heating Costs

Friday, November 6, 2015

It is getting colder in Kansas City! When you come home from work, it's nice to take a hot shower. However, using all of the hot water in your home could do a number on your utility bills. Below are some tips that will help you save money on your water heating costs.

  • You can have your water heater replaced by an even more energy efficient water heater.
  • Consider putting a water heater blanket or jacket on your unit.
  • Replace your shower heads and toilets with low flow models that are available on the market.
  • Do your best to take quick showers. After all, a long shower will use a great deal of warm water.
  • Fix any leaky faucets or plumbing fixtures as soon as possible.
  • If you are purchasing a new dishwasher or clothes washer, consider buying an Energy Star appliance.
  • Have your pipes insulated. It will prevent your pipes from freezing this season.

Is your water heater not supplying you with warm water? If so, we can repair or replace all water heaters and tankless water heaters. One of our Water Heater Experts will go over all of your options. Call 913-370-4898 today to schedule an appointment.
